AWARDS
ABSA presents three awards, two annually, and one biennially.
The BILL LANE AWARD goes to the student at Charles Sturt University who achieves the highest Grade Point Average in the Graduate Diploma of Ornithology course. The award consists of $150 cash and a year's membership of the Association.
The ABSA POSTER AWARD goes to the best Student Poster at the Australasian Ornithological Conference held every two years. The winner is chosen by members of the Committee attending and AOC representatives. The award consists of $150 cash and a year's membership of the Association.
The DURNO MURRAY AWARD is an "in-house" award to the best paper published in Corella each year. The award consists of $150 cash and a year's membership of the Association.
Bill Lane and Durno Murray were both founding members of the Association, and both contributed enormously to the development of ornithological skills in Australia.
